An incident like a movie in Istanbul: The man who fell from the roof remained suspended in the air.

The man who was renovating the roof in Kağıthane without taking any precautions to lay pipes fell from a height of meters when his foot slipped. The man, who survived by holding onto a rope while falling, got stuck between two walls. The man, who was rescued by the fire department, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The incident occurred last Thursday around 19:00 in Kağıthane Hürriyet neighborhood. Hakkı, a man in his 60s, climbed onto the roof in the evening to lay pipes. Working on the roof without taking any precautions, the man lost his balance and fell down while his foot slipped, getting stuck between two walls by holding onto a rope.

RESCUED WITH DIFFICULTY BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT

Upon the man's cry for help, the citizens who came called the fire department. Firefighters who arrived upon the notification started working to rescue the man. The fire brigade team, who intervened through the window of the neighboring apartment, managed to rescue the man with great difficulty. The injured man was taken to the hospital by ambulance after the initial intervention of the health team.

The citizens recorded those moments with their phones. Cüneyt Yarışan, who spoke about the incident, expressed his astonishment at the scene he witnessed.
