26 day program begins with 23 international participants from six different countries.

Anadolu Agency on Monday launched its Energy Journalism Training for international participants in Ankara in collaboration with the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Anadolu Agency's News Academy.

Twenty-three international trainees began the program from six different countries - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.

Representatives from the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), Turkish Petroleum (TP) and academics from Turkey's Ankara University, Middle East Technical University (METU), the Turkish Energy Law Research Institute and the Institute for Energy Markets and Policies (EPPEN) will deliver training in accordance with Anadolu Agency's vision of establishing specialized reporting in different sectors.

As part of the program several subjects will be addressed, including reporting and interview techniques, energy policies, the global natural gas and oil market plus energy law. Simultaneous Russian translation will be provided to trainees.

Carried out by Anadolu Agency's News Academy, the training is unique as it offers a 26-day program covering both theoretical and practical classes. The program will continue until Nov. 17.

Successful participants will be awarded internationally-recognized certificates at the end of their training. The agency, which has over 1,500 subscribers both in Turkey and abroad, also plans to launch a Spanish service soon. -
