Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments on the coronavirus pandemic and other news in Turkey and around the world.

Coronavirus and other developments in Turkey

Turkey reported a total of 400,242 coronavirus recoveries with 4,015 new additions over the past 24 hours, according to Health Ministry data.

The country registered 29,281 more COVID-19 infections over the past day, including 6,439 symptomatic cases, the ministry figures showed.

The new symptomatic cases raised the overall count to 494,351.

Volunteers in Turkey for trials of the coronavirus vaccine are being closely monitored at every stage, according to authorities.

Stepping up measures to fight the coronavirus outbreak, Turkey's capital is moving kindergartens and other early education classes to a virtual basis through the new year, said local officials.

Turkey is doing all it can to raise the Palestinian cause at all platforms to end "occupation, oppression and genocide policies," said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Turkish security forces over the last month neutralized a total of 184 YPG/PKK terrorists in northern Syria, across Turkey's southern border, said the country's National Defense Ministry.

South Africa registered 3,198 new cases of the coronavirus, taking the nationwide tally to 785,139, according to the Health Ministry. -
