The crisis within the party deepened following the "absolute nullity" decision regarding the cancellation of the CHP congress. After Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyers applied to the Ankara Governor's Office for the evacuation of the CHP headquarters, the governor's office announced that instructions had been given to the police to enforce the court decision.

Following the appellate court's "absolute nullity" ruling regarding the CHP congress, the internal crisis within the party has reached a new dimension. Lawyers of former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu have officially applied to the Ankara Governorship demanding the evacuation of the CHP headquarters building. The Ankara Governorship announced that instructions have been given to the police for the evacuation of the headquarters.

The statement from the Ankara Governorship included the following expressions:

"Pursuant to the decision of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice 36th Civil Chamber dated 21.05.2026 with file number 2026/32 and decision number 2026/658, and the notification and acceptance documents issued in the file of the Ankara 3rd General Enforcement Office with file number 2026/33826; it has been reported through the application made by Republic People's Party Attorney Lawyer Celal Çelik to the Ankara Police Department that the court decision has not been complied with.

CHP Attorney Lawyer Celal Çelik requested that necessary procedures be carried out for the delivery of the CHP headquarters to the authorities based on the court decision.

Instructions have been given to the Ankara Police Department regarding the execution of the court decision."

KILIÇDAROĞLU'S LAWYER SUBMITTED A PETITION TO THE GOVERNORSHIP

Following the appellate court's decision to annul the CHP Congress and to temporarily appoint former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu as chairman, Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyers and some deputies who arrived at the CHP headquarters in the morning were not admitted to the party building.

It was learned that upon this, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's Lawyer Celal Çelik submitted a petition to the Ankara Provincial Police Department.

"ALTHOUGH THE AUTHORITY BELONGS TO KILIÇDAROĞLU, THE BUILDING WAS NOT EVACUATED"

Lawyer Celal Çelik, who reportedly submitted a petition to the police yesterday as well and submitted a second one after today's events, stated the following in his petition:

"Pursuant to the decision of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice 36th Civil Chamber and the notification and acceptance documents issued in the file of the Ankara 3rd General Enforcement Office, despite the fact that the authority to represent the CHP belongs to Chairman Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his administration, the headquarters has been persistently not evacuated by the previous party officials.

Despite all constructive initiatives and the efforts of deputies to hold meetings, it has been observed that even deputies were not allowed into the headquarters, and moreover, despite attempts to establish constructive dialogue for a long time, no results were achieved; therefore, we request that the necessary procedures be carried out for the delivery of the Party headquarters to us."
