More than 200 experts from around the world will gather in Ankara on Thursday to discuss political, social, economic and security issues in the region.

The Ankara Center for Iranian Studies and Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University are the co-organizers of the three-day International Symposium on Continuity and Change in North Africa, Turkey and Iran.

Distinguished scientists, writers, diplomats and politicians from Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Sudan, Mauritania, Turkey, Iran, and Europe are expected to attend, according to a statement from organizers.

"Considering the global and regional transformation processes, the aim of the symposium is to create a platform allowing participants to exchange their ideas over important regional issues including economy, politics, sociology and security, environmental issues, terrorism, social security, youth unemployment, brain-drain and bilateral relations," it said. -
