Following the arrest of 13 individuals in the third wave of operations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), another operation was conducted. Seven people were detained due to allegations of irregularities in the İBB Tree and Landscape Inc. tenders. The individuals were arrested on charges of tampering with the tender process and bribery.
The 7 individuals who were detained on the grounds of alleged irregularities in the tenders of the Istanbul Tree and Landscape Inc. as part of the 'Corruption' investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) were arrested by the court after their statements were taken by the prosecutor's office.
NEW OPERATION AGAINST IMM
As part of the 'Corruption' investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), 7 individuals were detained based on allegations of irregularities in the tenders conducted within Istanbul Tree and Landscape Inc.
7 INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED
After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse, and after their statements were taken by the prosecutor's office, they were sent to the duty magistrate court with a request for arrest on charges of 'interfering with the tender' and 'bribery.' The suspects were arrested by the court they were brought before.
In the 'corruption' investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), 20 suspects who were detained on the grounds of being involved in irregular tenders at Media Inc. and Culture Inc. were referred to the courthouse. After their procedures at the prosecutor's office, 13 individuals, including Taner Çetin, the Head of the Press, Publication, and Public Relations Department of IMM, were arrested, while 7 individuals were released under judicial control conditions.
