Another Palestinian Dies Of Wounds As Death Toll From Israeli Army Incursion Into Jenin Rises To 9

Israeli soldiers injured 18 year old Sami Al Qaisi during incursion into refugee camp in Jenin in northern occupied West Bank on Tuesday, triggering clashes.

A Palestinian who was severely injured by the Israeli army during an incursion into a refugee camp in Jenin, northern occupied West Bank, a day earlier, died from bullet wounds on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll since Tuesday morning to nine, with 24 others injured.

The latest victim of Israeli forces' aggressions has been identified as 18-year-old Sami Al-Qaisi, who died from gunfire injuries caused by soldiers, Director Al-Razi Hospital in Jenin Fawaz Hamad confirmed to Anadolu.

Early Tuesday, the Israeli army raided the city, triggering clashes with Palestinians.Earlier on Wednesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that at least 24 Palestinians were injured during Israeli military raids in Jenin, which had previously confirmed the deaths of eight people, including two children, and the injuries of 21 others.

Tensions have been running high across the West Bank since Israel launched a deadly military offensive against the Gaza Strip, where more than 35,700 people have been killed following a Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023.

At least 515 Palestinians have since been killed and around 5,000 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.

Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which has ordered it to ensure that its forces do not commit acts of genocide and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
