In Düzköy district of Trabzon, heavy rain caused the waterfall on the upper part of Çal Cave to overflow. The entrance of the cave turned into a lake with the overflowing water. The moments were captured on a mobile phone camera, and the stranded tourists were rescued by the teams. WATERFALL OVERFLOWEDHeavy rain occurred in the district in the evening hours. After the rain, which occasionally intensified, the waterfall located on the upper part of Çal Cave, which is one of the tourist centers in the region, overflowed. The moments when the entrance of the cave turned into a lake with the overflowing water were captured on camera, and due to the rain, the cave was closed to visitor entry and exit as a precaution. STRANDED TOURISTS RESCUEDWhile the visitors inside the cave were trapped due to the flooded entrance, the teams from Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality and AFAD intervened in the floods and water overflow. The visitors inside the cave were taken out from where they were and brought to a safe area. STATEMENT FROM THE MUNICIPALITYIn a statement from Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, it was stated that "After the floods and water overflow in Çal Cave, our Fire Department and AFAD teams have been directed to the region. Our teams have successfully evacuated our citizens from where they were. There are no negative health conditions for our citizens. The work of our teams in the region is ongoing. We extend our get well wishes to all our citizens."
