The capital of Lebanon, Beirut, witnessed a rocket attack by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) that caused a 10-story building to collapse within seconds. The moment of the incident was captured by citizens' mobile phone cameras. In the footage taken by eyewitnesses, a rocket is seen hitting the lower floors of the building against the backdrop of a blue sky. After a violent explosion, the massive building crumbled as if it were undergoing a controlled demolition. Debris and shrapnel were scattered around the area following the blast. It is reported that dozens of people may have lost their lives in the attack in the Shayah suburb of Beirut. Rescue teams are investigating whether there are any injured or fatalities under the rubble. The Arabic spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, claimed in a statement made 40 minutes before the attack that "Hezbollah facilities were located in the building." The collapsed building was situated across from a large park that housed many displaced families. The attack was carried out as part of Israel's ongoing operations against Hezbollah. While the Israeli Air Force continues airstrikes in the region, ground forces are also continuing their operations in border villages.
