Major stock exchanges in Asia closed Monday mostly with gains despite estimates of US Federal Reserve's more aggressive interest rate hike.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, gained 15.9 points, or 0.49%, to reach 3,276.
Tokyo's Nikkei 225 stock exchange increased 73.4 points, or 0.26%, to end at 28,249 points.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, ended its three-session winning streak, falling 156 points, or 0.77%, to 20,045.
China's Shanghai Stock Exchange rose 9.9 points, or 0.31%, to close at 3,236 points.
The Indian Sensex benchmark increased 465 points, or 0.80%, to 58,853, while the Singapore index dropped 11.9 points or 0.36% to close the day at 3,271. -
