THE RACE FOR GENERAL CHAIRMANSHIP
Before the congress, the party's High Advisory Board (YİK) designated Mahmut Arıkan as the candidate for the general chairmanship. Party Spokesperson and Istanbul Deputy Birol Aydın, along with former General Chairman and YİK member Mustafa Kamalak, also announced their candidacies, but according to the party's regulations, both candidates need to receive support from 15% of the delegates.
