Attack on graves in Sancaktepe! Citizens rushed to their phones, officials' response is even more alarming.

Unidentified individuals have shattered tombstones at Sancaktepe Yenidoğan Cemetery. Citizens who contacted the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Cemetery Directorate regarding the issue were informed that there is no security present after 6:00 PM in the evenings.

The attack on the cemeteries in Istanbul Sancaktepe last night has angered the citizens. When the citizens contacted the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Cemeteries Directorate regarding the issue, they were told that "there is no security here at night."

Unidentified individuals broke the tombstones at the Yenidoğan Cemetery last night. The citizens who rushed to the cemetery upon learning about the situation contacted the authorities. When the citizens asked the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Cemeteries Directorate officials, "What is the security doing?" they were told that "there is no security here after 6:00 PM in the evenings."

"OUR DECEASED ARE NOT BEING TAKEN CARE OF"

The citizens, who became even more angry with the response they received from the officials, said, "We came to the cemetery running after hearing about the incident. We asked what happened, but unfortunately, we couldn't find anyone to talk to. Then we called the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Çekmeköy Cemeteries Directorate. They also told us that 'there is no security in our cemetery after 6:00 PM in the evenings.' Can such a thing be possible? Our deceased are not being taken care of," expressing their reaction to the situation.

"FIND THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE"

The citizens, addressing the authorities regarding the incident, called for the perpetrators who attacked our graves to be found as soon as possible and held accountable.
