According to the statement made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is predicted that there will be strong thunderstorms in the eastern part of Istanbul's Anatolian Side, Kocaeli, Bursa, Yalova, Sakarya, Bilecik, and Kütahya regions starting from noon.
WARNING FROM METEOROLOGY
In the warning issued by the Meteorology, it was requested to be careful and cautious against negative effects such as floods, waterlogging, lightning, disruptions in transportation, strong winds during rainfall, and localized small-scale hail.
TIME GIVEN FOR ISTANBUL
On the other hand, in the statement made by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM), it was stated that the strong and thunderstormy rainfall observed in Beykoz and Şile will continue intermittently throughout the day, mainly on the Anatolian Side.
THE RAINFALL IS COMING STRONGLY
In the statement, it was stated that the rainfall will increase its effect from 18.00 onwards and it will continue until 13.00 tomorrow. It was noted that the rainfall can be strong in Pendik, Tuzla, Çekmeköy, Beykoz, Sancaktepe, Sultanbeyli, and Şile on the eastern and northern parts of the Anatolian Side, as well as in Sarıyer and Eyüpsultan on the northern part of the European Side.
WARNING FOR ASSIGNING PERSONNEL TO IMM UNITS
In the statement, it was mentioned that 20 to 45 kilograms of rain can fall per square meter and in rainfall that can be effective in a short period of time (30-60 minutes), there may be pooling and flooding in areas below the level, so the center warned the relevant IMM units to assign personnel.
