The Ministry of Trade, as a result of its inspections, determined that the Taros brand felt-tip pens were non-compliant with regulations and posed health risks, leading to a ban on the sale of the products and a decision to withdraw them from the market.
The Ministry of Trade announced that the Taros brand felt-tip pens do not comply with regulations and pose a health risk as a result of inspections carried out within the scope of market surveillance and inspection activities. It was stated that the products in question pose a danger, especially for children.
ANNOUNCED TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH GÜBİS
The Ministry announced through the Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS) that a stationery product was found to be unsafe during recent inspections. The examinations were conducted by authorized organizations.
SALE PROHIBITED, RECALLING FROM THE MARKET
Following the inspections, it was announced that the sale of Taros brand felt-tip pens has been halted and a decision was made to recall them from the market. It was emphasized that the decision was made to protect consumer safety and especially children's health.
WARNING TO CONSUMERS
Authorities warned consumers to follow the announcements made through GÜBİS and not to use products declared unsafe.
