The General Directorate of Meteorology issued a yellow code thunderstorm warning for 21 provinces. While precipitation is expected to continue affecting the country throughout the holiday, sudden floods, water overflows, and lightning risks are anticipated in some regions, and temperatures are forecast to drop by 4 degrees in certain provinces.
According to the latest forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), partly and mostly cloudy weather will prevail across Turkey. Intermittent showers and thunderstorms are expected in most parts of the country.
Especially in the east of Marmara, inland Aegean, inland parts of Western Mediterranean, north and west of Central Anatolia, inland areas of the Black Sea, and Eastern Anatolia, rainfall is expected to be locally heavy. Hatay, Osmaniye, Kayseri, and Balıkesir provinces are also among the areas expecting heavy rainfall.
RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAY
According to MGM's assessments, thunderstorms will continue to affect the country during the holiday period. It was stated that short-term but heavy rain showers may occur in many regions, especially during midday and evening hours.
Authorities warned citizens who will be traveling during the holiday to monitor the weather conditions.
TEMPERATURES TO DROP BY 4 DEGREES
According to meteorological data, air temperatures will decrease by 2 to 4 degrees in the inland parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the southeast of Eastern Anatolia. No significant change in temperatures is expected in other regions.

The provinces under a yellow code warning from the General Directorate of Meteorology are as follows:
Adana, Bilecik, Burdur, Diyarbakır, Hatay, Mersin, Kahramanmaraş, Sakarya, Van, Şırnak, Osmaniye, Antalya, Bitlis, Bursa, Hakkari, Isparta, Kocaeli, Muş, Siirt, Batman, and Yalova.
