The inflation data for October announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) indicates that many items will see price increases in the new year. One of these items will be vehicle inspection fees. NEW TARIFF FOR VEHICLE INSPECTION FEESAccording to the announced inflation data, in 2025, the inspection fees for tractors, motorcycles, and motorized bicycles will rise from 927.60 TL to 1,335 TL. The inspection fee applied for cars, minibuses, vans, off-road vehicles, special purpose vehicles, and trailers will increase from 1,821.60 TL to 2,622 TL. Currently, the inspection fee for buses, trucks, and tractors, which is 2,462.40 TL, will rise to 3,544 TL in the new year. TRAFFIC FINES AND MTV WILL ALSO INCREASEThe increase in the Revaluation Rate, which causes these price hikes, does not only cover vehicle inspection fees. An increase of 43.93% is also expected in other items that concern vehicle owners, such as traffic fines and Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV). WHAT IS THE REVALUATION RATE?The annual average Producer Price Index (ÜFE) increase rate, which occurs at the end of October each year, is determined as the revaluation rate for the following year. In the new year, it is anticipated that many items, such as passport, driver's license, identity fees, Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV), income tax brackets, property tax, highway, and bridge tolls, will increase by the revaluation rate.
