The leader of the international drug cartel that the world was searching high and low for, Angelo Pandeli, was caught in a movie-like operation in Bali as he was about to flee to Africa with a fake passport. The extraordinary place where the gang leader, whose escape plan was foiled, was hiding on the plane stopped at the airport surprised everyone.

Bali, Indonesia's world-famous holiday island, was the scene of an escape operation worthy of a movie. Angelo Pandeli, an Australian gang leader who mysteriously disappeared two years ago and was wanted internationally, was caught red-handed in the toilet of a private jet while trying to escape to Africa with a fake passport.

DEFIED INSTRUCTIONS AND FLED TO THE PLANE

Ngurah Rai Immigration Office officials inspected passengers on a private jet waiting at the airport to go to Mozambique. Officials noticed serious inconsistencies in a passenger carrying a Brazilian passport issued in the name of "GAM." The inspection revealed that the individual had no official entry record or valid residence permit for Indonesia.

FLIGHT WAS DELAYED

Immigration officers decided to delay the individual's flight for a more detailed interrogation. However, the suspect and their companions, ignoring this decision, defied the officials' instructions and returned to the plane without authorization. Despite all warnings, the pilot brought the jet to a takeoff position.

THEY PULLED THE JET BACK, FOUND HIM IN THE TOILET

With a decisive intervention by airport security, the moving private jet was stopped and forced to be pulled back to the apron. In a thorough search of the plane by immigration guards, while the other three passengers waited in the cabin, the suspect passenger was found hiding in the plane's toilet.

The Brazilian passport on the detained individual was determined to be completely fake. After fingerprint and identification checks, it was revealed that this person was the 55-year-old former leader of a famous Sydney-based motorcycle gang, Angelo Pandeli, who had been evading capture everywhere for two years.

KEY FIGURE IN THE INTERNATIONAL DRUG CARTEL

Indonesian authorities, citing Interpol data, stated that Pandeli was not an ordinary fugitive but one of the most influential figures of an internationally operating organized crime network (TSOC). Regarding the gang leader, suspected of directing very large-scale drug shipments to Australia, authorities made the following statement:

"The individual had been evading law enforcement for a long time. It was understood that he was trying to secretly leave the region using illegally obtained travel documents and continue managing international network activities from outside Australia."

DEPORTED: ENTRY TO INDONESIA BANNED FOR LIFE!

The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Bali announced that after the successful operation, Angelo Pandeli's official procedures were completed and he was deported to Australia. Additionally, entry to Indonesia was banned for life for the crime organization leader.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) stated that they are conducting a comprehensive joint investigation with their Indonesian counterparts regarding the arrest process and travel history of the fugitive leader.
