Bahçeli: The end is near for the terrorist organization PKK.

In recent weeks, MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who called for terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan to "come and speak at the DEM Party Group Meeting in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, proclaiming that terrorism has completely ended and the organization has been dissolved," stated in today's group meeting that "It is impossible for us to live with and endure the problems of terrorism and separatism any longer. The end is near for the separatist terrorist organization PKK. There is no safe space left for any terrorist. Destroying the terrorist organization at its source is a matter of national survival. It is a contradiction that must be crushed to show off in the political arena while supporting terrorists," he said.

In the continuation of his statement, Bahçeli, who said, "If there are weapons, there is no politics. If there is betrayal, there is no democracy," emphasized that "MHP stands for the defense of national unity and brotherhood without showing any signs of weakness to deny what was said yesterday. We stand behind everything we have done and said."

I hope that the CHP General Chairman, who admits to suffering from the turmoil his party has been dragged into and hastily declares that they will return to the national agenda, does not fall into the abyss on the way back, and does not underestimate the danger of sinking while trying to return. Let them keep turning; they should be careful, as excessive turning can lead to a loss of balance and cause a fall.

TURKEY-US RELATIONS

We view the election in the US from a Turkey-centered perspective. We analyze not so much who wins or loses, but how the US-Turkey relations will take shape. It is beneficial for both countries that Trump presents a different profile than in his first term. The main issue is our national interests. The compatibility of international relations, which constantly change and depend on many parameters, with global justice is a fundamental criterion.

It will become clear whether Trump will support peace or genocide between Israel and Palestine as soon as he takes office, whether he will withdraw American troops from Syria, how he will view the PKK/YPG/PYD terrorist organizations, and whether he will stand by international law regarding the Cyprus issue. Our stance will also manifest itself on this occasion. A clean slate must be opened with the US. There is no problem between Turkey and the US that cannot be solved.

Although we may question Turkey from time to time, it is a NATO member. The Republic of Turkey is an independent country. We fully respect the independence of every country and the interests that overlap with sovereignty. However, it is also our most natural right to expect respect from others.
