A bank robbery occurred in the Fatih district of Istanbul. The incident took place yesterday around 5:00 PM at the bank located on Atatürk Boulevard in the Hacı Kadın neighborhood. According to allegations, a suspect named Ş.K. (34) entered the bank, drew his weapon, and committed the robbery.
TOOK 112 THOUSAND LIRA, DROPPED MONEY WHILE ESCAPING
It was learned that the suspect took approximately 112 thousand lira from the bank. While escaping, Ş.K. collided with a person walking on the street, dropping about 80 thousand lira of the money he had taken and the weapon he used in the incident. The citizen who was hit picked up the money he found on the ground and returned it to the bank.
POLICE CAUGHT HIM IN AN OPERATION
After the incident, police teams initiated a search for the suspect who fled with 32 thousand lira. Ş.K. was caught in an operation carried out at a house in the Fatih Karagümrük neighborhood. During the searches, a weapon belonging to the bank's security officer was seized.
