Banks are flooding with notifications! The new era in credit cards officially started today.

The decision of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency has increased the limit for contactless cards without a PIN by 100% to 1500 Turkish Lira starting from today. This implementation, which started today, is being notified to customers by some banks through SMS messages.

The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has changed the contactless transaction limit on credit cards starting today.

LIMIT UPDATED AFTER 2 YEARS

According to the latest change, the limit for contactless payments, which was increased to 750 liras on July 1, 2022, has been updated after 2 years.

NEW APPLICATION OFFICIALLY STARTED TODAY

With the recent decision, the transaction limit has increased by 100% to 1500 liras starting today. The BDKK informed the banks of this decision in April.

BANKS INFORMING CUSTOMERS VIA SMS

Furthermore, some banks have started informing their customers about the increase in the contactless transaction limit to 1500 TL through SMS messages.
