Banks are launching new generation ATMs.

18.11.2024 17:41

In response to high inflation and increasing cash needs, banks have decided to restructure the infrastructure of ATMs. Struggling to meet cash demand, banks will transition to new generation ATMs, which are much more functional than traditional ATMs, making transactions much faster and more efficient.

Recently, due to the high inflation, the demand for cash has increased. Banks, struggling to meet this demand, have decided to make significant changes to ATMs.

In many provinces, traditional ATMs will give way to new generation ATMs that are much more functional. With the features provided by new generation ATMs, transactions will now be more efficient and faster.

TRANSACTIONS WILL BE DONE FASTER

Unlike traditional ATMs that have two separate compartments for cash withdrawal and deposit transactions, new generation ATMs will combine these transactions into a single compartment. Thus, cash withdrawal and deposit transactions can be done simultaneously and more quickly.

WILL ELIMINATE BANKNOTE SHORTAGE

High inflation and the depreciation of the Turkish lira have caused the majority of the cash in circulation to consist of 200 TL banknotes. This situation has led to serious problems for the banking sector. With new generation ATMs, deposited money will be immediately available in the system and can also be withdrawn by other customers. Thus, the aim is to eliminate the banknote shortage.
