Banks have announced! The new period for credit cards starts tomorrow.

Starting from Monday, July 1st, a new period is being introduced for contactless payments without requiring a password on credit cards.

LIMIT INCREASED TO 1500 TL

In a letter sent to banks by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) in April, it was stated that the passwordless transaction limit for contactless card payments has been increased from 750 TL to 1500 TL. The contactless transaction limit, which was raised to 750 liras on July 1, 2022, will be increased to 1500 TL after 2 years. Many banks have notified their users via messages regarding this matter.
