In a statement made on Beşiktaş's official site, it was noted, "In the 67th minute of the UEFA Conference League 3rd Qualifying Round second leg match, our player Mustafa Erhan Hekimoğlu could not continue the game due to pain in his left thigh's upper muscle. An MRI scan revealed a strain and partial tear involving the tendon-muscle junction of the left thigh's upper muscle (rectus femoris). Treatment for Mustafa Erhan Hekimoğlu has been initiated by our medical team."
