In his speech at a fundraising event in Virginia, Biden made statements about traveling a lot before participating in the live broadcast debate on the night of June 27.

Biden emphasized that he traveled too much before the live broadcast debate with his opponent Trump and said, "This is not an excuse, just an explanation." Biden attributed his weak performance in the debate to the recent travels he had made and the resulting jet lag, saying, "I didn't listen to my staff. I was almost falling asleep on stage."

"WE UNDERSTAND THE CONCERNS"

White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre stated in her statement to journalists that President Biden had a cold on the day of the debate and that his voice was hoarse as a result. Jean-Pierre said, "We understand the concerns. The President did not have a good night at the debate."

In the United States, Democrat candidate Biden and his Republican opponent Trump shared the stage in the first live broadcast debate on CNN on the night of June 27 for the presidential elections to be held on November 5.

Biden could not perform well enough to alleviate concerns about his age in his second term candidacy and faced intense criticism after the program. Calls for Biden to withdraw from the presidential elections were made by the Democratic Party and some media organizations supporting Biden.

Biden, on the other hand, admitted that his health was not the same as before and stated that he was still the best alternative against Trump and announced that he would not withdraw from the race.
