A dispute between a bride and her mother-in-law in Istanbul ended in murder. The mother-in-law shot and killed her daughter-in-law with a gun and was taken into custody after the incident.
As a result of an argument between bride Burçin Şahin and mother-in-law Menekşe Karabacak in Istanbul's Şişli district, Mother-in-law Karabacak fired multiple shots at her bride Şahin with a gun. Şahin lost her life, while it was learned that the mother-in-law was taken into custody by police teams.
FIRED MULTIPLE SHOTS AT HER BRIDE
The incident occurred around 13:30 on the second floor of a four-story building located on Feriköy Kurtuluş Street. According to claims, an argument broke out for an unknown reason between bride Burçin Şahin (25) and mother-in-law Menekşe Karabacak (58), who lived together. As the argument escalated into a fight, Karabacak fired several shots in succession at her bride with a gun.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Upon notification, police, health teams, and crime scene investigation teams were dispatched to the scene. In the check conducted by health teams, it was determined that the woman had lost her life. While Burçin Şahin, who lost her life, was taken to the hospital by ambulance, it was learned that mother-in-law Menekşe Karabacak was taken into custody by police teams at the scene.
