It has emerged that Mehmet Çabuk, who was being sought on Müge Anlı, was killed 10 years ago and buried in the garden of his house; it was determined that İbrahim Ozan Düzgün, who confessed to the murder, held a wedding days later in the garden where he buried the unfortunate man and hid for years using the victim's identity.
In the Mehmet Çabuk case, which has shaken Turkey's agenda for days on the Müge Anlı ile Tatlı Sert program, a chilling development occurred after 10 years. It has been confirmed that Mehmet Çabuk, a father of one child who disappeared suspiciously in 2016 at the age of 27, was the victim of murder. After the allegations made live on air by his ex-wife İlknur Düzgün, her husband İbrahim Ozan Düzgün, who was in prison for other crimes, confessed to the murder.
ESCAPE WITH A FAKE IDENTITY AND DETENTION ON LIVE BROADCAST
Thanks to the efforts of mother Aynur Çabuk, who applied to Müge Anlı to search for her son who disappeared ten years ago, dark points were illuminated. It emerged that İbrahim Ozan Düzgün, who had been wanted for a long time and convicted of many crimes, used the identity of the victim Mehmet Çabuk for years in order not to be caught by the police. After İlknur Düzgün, who was cornered on the program and gave contradictory statements, said "The murder was committed in Osmaniye," the Osmaniye Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action. İlknur Düzgün was detained by police teams as she left the studio, and her mother Selma Düzgün was detained at the hotel where she was staying.
"I HIT HIM ON THE HEAD WITH A HARD OBJECT AND BURIED HIM IN THE GARDEN"
İbrahim Ozan Düzgün, who is in prison, confirmed his wife's statements and confessed to his crime. In his statement to the prosecutor's office, Düzgün stated that on January 26, 2016, he and Mehmet Çabuk came from Ankara to Osmaniye, and that during an argument that broke out, he hit Çabuk on the head with a hard object, killing him, and buried the body in the garden of the house.
DAYS AFTER THE MURDER, THEY HELD A WEDDING OVER THE BODY
Following the confession, security forces launched an excavation at the address indicated by Düzgün in order to reach Çabuk's bones. The most horrifying detail that emerged in the investigation was that days after the murder, İlknur Düzgün and İbrahim Ozan Düzgün got married by holding a wedding in that garden where Mehmet Çabuk was buried.
TO SUPPRESS THE SMELL...
A witness who connected to the live broadcast claimed that the back part of the garden was dug up under the pretext that "a pool would be built," concrete was poured over it, and then pigs were raised there to suppress the smell. İlknur Düzgün denied the claim that pigs were raised. A large-scale judicial investigation into the incident is ongoing.
