In Afyonkarahisar, a quarrel broke out between feuding relatives at a wedding hall, where brother-in-law A.Ö. shot and killed his brother-in-law Doğan Dağcı with a pistol. The suspect later surrendered to the gendarmerie.
Blood was shed in a feud between relatives gathered for a wedding in Emirdağ.
CLAIMED DISPUTE OVER PASTURE ISSUE
The incident occurred at a wedding hall in the Emirdağ district. According to available information, Doğan Dağcı, attending the wedding, encountered his brother-in-law A.Ö., who is alleged to have had a disagreement with him over a pasture issue. During the argument that broke out between the parties, A.Ö. opened fire on his brother-in-law Dağcı. Dağcı was seriously wounded by the bullets hitting his body.
GREAT PANIC AT THE WEDDING
While gunshots caused great panic at the wedding venue, numerous gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. Dağcı, seriously injured, was taken to Emirdağ State Hospital by ambulance after initial intervention at the scene. Despite medical intervention at the hospital, Dağcı could not be saved and died. A.Ö., who fled after the incident, surrendered after contacting the gendarmerie shortly thereafter.
It was reported that the investigation initiated by the prosecutor's office into the incident continues.
