The number of bomb threats against passenger planes in Europe has risen to 18. While Finnair's Helsinki-Vienna and LOT's Warsaw-Paris flights were also targeted by the threats, searches on the planes found no explosives. A group called "Warriors of the Male State" claimed responsibility for the threats in Italy, and it drew attention that the group threatened to "paint the sky red" with explosions. It has not yet been clarified who is behind the threats across Europe.

Bomb threats coming one after another in Europe caused a security alarm on international flights. While 18 passenger planes belonging to different airline companies were targeted by the threats, the statements in the message of the group that claimed the threats in Italy increased concerns.

BOMB THREATS AGAINST 18 PASSENGER PLANES IN EUROPE

New bomb threats were added to those targeting flights at different points in Europe. Most recently, a bomb threat was made against a Finland-based Finnair passenger plane flying from Helsinki to Austria's capital Vienna. Following the threat, the plane landed safely in Vienna. Poland-based LOT Airlines' Warsaw-Paris flight also faced a similar threat. It drew attention that another flight of the company, whose Warsaw-Brussels flight had previously received a bomb threat, was also targeted. No trace of explosives was found in searches carried out on the planes.

ALARM RAISED ALL OVER EUROPE

The bomb threats were not limited to only two flights. Previously, similar threats were made against 4 passenger planes flying to the Czech capital Prague. Finnair's Helsinki-Rome and Aegean Airlines' Thessaloniki-Milan flights were also targeted by the threats. Bomb threats were also made against Ryanair's Copenhagen-Sofia, Madrid-Sofia, London-Sofia and Porto-Milan flights, as well as Wizz Air's Milan-Warsaw and Milan-Bucharest flights. Aer Lingus's Dublin-Rome flight and LOT's Warsaw-Brussels flight were also among the threatened flights. In the security checks carried out by the authorities, no explosive device was found on the aircraft in question.

A TERRIFYING MESSAGE FROM THE GROUP THAT CLAIMED THE THREATS

A remarkable statement came from Rome Airport authorities regarding the bomb threats in Italy. It was stated that the threats against two planes arriving in the capital Rome were conveyed via an email titled "Threat notification". The authorities announced that a group called "Warriors of the Male State" claimed the threats in Italy. It was reported that in the message sent by the group, it stated that it targeted a "feminist regime" and wanted to "leave its mark on history". The most striking part of the message was the threat to "paint the sky red" with explosions. However, there is no verified information about the group's identity, structure, or connection to the threats in other countries.

A PASSENGER SHIP WAS ALSO TARGETED BY A BOMB THREAT

The security alarms experienced in Europe were not limited to air transport. Last Tuesday, a bomb threat was made against a passenger ship as well as at least 7 passenger planes. No explosive device was found in the searches carried out after the threats. It is not yet known whether the threats across Europe were carried out from a single center or by different people.

WHO ARE THE "WARRIORS OF THE MALE STATE"?

"Warriors of the Male State" emerged as the name of a group announced to have claimed the false bomb threats against passenger planes in Italy. According to the information conveyed by Rome Airport authorities, the group stated in its email that it targeted a "feminist regime". It was reported that in the group's message it stated that it wanted to "leave its mark on history" and threatened to "paint the sky red" with explosions. However, it is not known when the group was founded, who it consists of, in which country it operates, or whether it has an organized structure. Its connection to bomb threats outside Italy has also not been verified.
