AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik harshly criticized the CHP administration in his statement regarding the evacuation crisis at the CHP headquarters. Çelik said, 'I had said that the inside of the CHP is more chaotic than the Middle East. Now, looking back, I realize I did an injustice to the Middle East.'
AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made striking statements regarding the evacuation crisis following the “absolute nullity” decision in the CHP. Targeting the CHP administration, Çelik said the internal disputes in the party were growing.
Recalling an assessment he made years ago, Çelik stated, “2-3 years ago, during a meeting of our party, at one of our congresses, I said ‘the inside of the CHP is more chaotic than the Middle East’.”
“I WRONGED THE MIDDLE EAST”
Pointing to the developments in the intervening period, Çelik said, “After I said that, now looking back, I wronged the Middle East. The inside of the CHP is so chaotic that it leaves the Middle East far behind.”
Arguing that the responsibility for the crises in the CHP lies with the current administration, Çelik stated, “Do not try to clarify this chaos over us, do not try to whitewash it through us. All these affairs and transactions happened during your and your team’s management.”
“YOU ARE CONSTANTLY ENGAGED IN A COVER-UP ACTIVITY”
Continuing his harsh criticism of the CHP in his statement, Çelik said, “Political corruption in one province, perversions emerging in another… If you tried to clean just these two, you would have no time to deal with anything else.”
Çelik claimed that the CHP administration was trying to cover up the incidents, saying, “You constantly engage in this cover-up activity. But you won’t make us do it for you.”
Reacting to statements targeting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Çelik stated, “If you think you will cover up this agenda by using such expressions against our President, this is impossible.”
