President Erdoğan learned about Bahçeli's call for Öcalan from television.

Former AK Party Deputy Şamil Tayyar claimed that the call made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli for PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan was not communicated to President Erdoğan. Tayyar stated, "I am saying this as information, not as a guess." He presented this information as a definite fact, not a speculation.

Tayyar, who said, "Our President was not aware of Mr. Devlet's statement," added: "This is not a topic that has been discussed or consulted in advance. Our President learns about it after the television speech. You know how some people write scenarios, saying 'they have come together'…
