It has been claimed that figures close to Özgür Özel, who was removed from his position as CHP Chairman by a nullity decision, have contacted Genç Party founder Cem Uzan to take over the party's management. Evaluating the allegation, Genç Party Chairman Burçin Şahindur stated that individuals with corruption allegations cannot join their party unless cleared, while arguing that CHP should resolve its leadership crisis under the guidance of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
While the congress debates within the CHP continue, a striking claim has come to the agenda. According to journalist Barış Yarkadaş, Genç Party Chairman Burçin Şahindur alleged that some individuals close to Özgür Özel conveyed their desire to take over the administration of the Genç Party by meeting with the party's founder, Cem Uzan.
According to Şahindur's statement, Cem Uzan stated that he is not involved in active politics, that the party's administration is not with him, and that the Genç Party is managed by Burçin Şahindur.
"WE ARE A PARTY ORGANIZED IN 72 PROVINCES" Şahindur, who made evaluations on the issue, attributed the reason why the Genç Party is preferred to its organizational structure.
Şahindur said, "We are a party organized in 72 provinces and qualified to enter elections. Additionally, we have a political line positioned in the center-right. Therefore, I think they want to prefer us."
Burçin Şahindur "THEY CANNOT JOIN OUR PARTY WITHOUT BEING CLEARED" Şahindur, who also answered the question of how they would behave if individuals close to Özgür Özel wanted to join their party, used harsh expressions. Stating that those whom he claims have many allegations of corruption cannot join the Genç Party without being cleared, Şahindur said, "We cannot stand side by side with a structure overshadowed by so many corruption allegations."
"CHP SHOULD SOLVE ITS PROBLEMS UNDER KILIÇDAROĞLU'S LEADERSHIP" Also touching on the current debates in the CHP, Şahindur argued that the party should solve its problems as soon as possible. Stating that the chairman of the CHP is clear, Şahindur said the party should solve its problems under the leadership of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Expressing that social opposition should also move away from the ongoing debates and come together on a common ground, Şahindur claimed that otherwise, the opposition could fail again in the next election.
