Four months after the election, a bombshell claim has emerged regarding İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, who was elected as the President of the Turkish Football Federation.

CLAIM THAT HACIOSMANOĞLU RESIGNED

According to journalist Tahir Kum, Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu has resigned from his position. Kum's claim has made headlines. Hacıosmanoğlu sent a message to his colleagues in the TFF Board of Directors via the WhatsApp application, stating, "I want you to make the general assembly decision in the meeting on Tuesday or continue with a president you can choose among yourselves."

ALLEGED MESSAGE SENT TO BOARD MEMBERS

The WhatsApp message allegedly sent by İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu to his colleagues in the TFF Board of Directors is as follows;

My very valuable road companions,

I knew many of you, and I wanted to write in detail because you are respectable people, including those I got to know later. I am 58 years old. I have fought my life’s battles starting from the streets and always alone. I did not allow anyone's contribution. Even if they are friends, it would cost one day... Unfortunately, in these elections, as much as I had your support, those I considered friends also supported me. I regret to see that I am facing the price I have meticulously protected for years and that it has reached a level of baseness...

Not being able to give them the response they deserve as long as I sit in this chair has started to strain my mind and personality.

For this reason, I do not want to disrespect you, my valuable road companions, and I cannot make the decisions I have always made alone in my life until now. Therefore, I kindly ask you to make the general assembly decision in the meeting on Tuesday or continue with a president you can choose among yourselves; I want you to know that you will all remain friends of mine until the end of your lives.

Ekol TV claimed that it spoke with TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, stating, "The resignation news is not true. We have embarked on a journey. I will not leave so many people in the lurch. There is no possibility of such a thing."

The presidential election of the Turkish Football Federation was held on July 18. In the election, where a total of 281 delegates voted at 7 ballot boxes and 18 votes were deemed invalid, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu was elected as the President of the Turkish Football Federation with 134 votes against Mehmet Büyükekşi's 129 votes.
