The second is that a promise was made that there would be no second candidate against Mansur Yavaş. In other words, there will be no second candidate because Mansur Yavaş does not want it. This is a decision made by the Headquarters," he said.

In his statements, Çiçek expressed that the CHP Headquarters made such a decision because if İmamoğlu were to face a political ban, the other candidates would sequentially be nominated as presidential candidates if İmamoğlu were not the sole candidate in the primary.

In his statement, Çiçek said, "A decision was made to prevent other names from being considered if İmamoğlu receives a political ban," he stated.

Dursun Çiçek also stated that he would not vote in the primary elections. Reminding that he did not vote in elections where Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was the sole candidate, Çiçek said, "I do not vote in a single candidate election; if I have no option, I do not go to the polls," he stated.
