Buket Aydın asked Esra Ezmeci on her program whether the increase in images of women in bikinis and with décolletage affects men's perception. Ezmeci argued that the constant visibility of the female body makes it ordinary and devalues it, while also touching on the effects of this situation on male psychology and relationships.
Clinical psychologist and author Esra Ezmeci, who was a guest on Buket Aydın's program broadcast on tv100, evaluated male-female relationships and clothing preferences. Aydın noted that access to images of women in bikinis and with cleavage has increased compared to the past and asked whether this situation affects the way men perceive women.
“CONSTANT EXPOSURE MAKES IT ORDINARY”
Ezmeci, who agreed with Aydın's assessment, argued that the constant visibility of the female body leads to it becoming ordinary over time. Ezmeci said, “The female body is very special both spiritually and physically. However, constant exposure to tight clothing, bikini-clad and naked bodies makes this special structure ordinary over time and, unfortunately, devalues it.”
“IT WEAKENS THE PERCEPTION OF MASCULINITY”
Ezmeci, who claimed that visual content affects not only the perception of women but also men's psychology, stated that this situation feeds the “princess man” model and weakens the perception of masculinity. Buket Aydın and Esra Ezmeci also discussed clothing preferences and their effects on relationships.
