"Call from Davutoğlu to President Erdoğan"

A delegation consisting of the DEM Party met with the terrorist leader Öcalan in İmralı on December 28, after a 4.5-year hiatus. The İmralı delegation later visited political parties in the Parliament one by one to exchange information regarding the process.

"WE WILL FOLLOW THE PLANS OF FORCES WITH INTEREST IN THE REGION"

Regarding the topic that remains hot in the political agenda, Ahmet Davutoğlu, the General Chairman of the Future Party, spoke at the Saadet-Future Party group meeting. "A process is underway. The DEM delegation visited us yesterday, and we had a very sincere and open-hearted meeting," said Davutoğlu, adding, "I want to call on all parties involved in the process. They should pay attention to our analysis; our warnings are not just another warning from a party leader, but a call from a scholar devoted to this country, a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, and a former prime minister. Listen carefully. What we will do is strengthen our internal structure, control the border lines and nearby regions. We will closely monitor the plans of forces with interests in the region." he stated.

"SOMEONE IS TRYING TO STIR UP THE STREETS"

Pointing out that someone is trying to stir up the streets, Davutoğlu said, "Those who represent the Zionist propaganda that creates Arab hostility through refugees are now trying to incite Kurdish hostility through this issue. They are not nationalists. Nationalism requires patriotism and uniting the nation. You know very well who I am referring to. Whoever wants to pit Turks against Kurds, whoever wants to pit Turks against Arabs, know that they are serving the Nagel Commission and Israel." he said.

"NOT A SINGLE WORD WILL BE SAID THAT WOULD HURT THE FEELINGS OF MARTYRS AND VETERANS' FAMILIES"

Listing the proposals he made during his meeting with the DEM delegation, Davutoğlu stated, "Psychologies will be managed, and care will be taken with the statements. Not a single word will be said that would hurt the feelings of the families of martyrs and veterans. References will be made to common citizenship and shared destiny in the unity of the state. Care will be taken with comparisons. We must refer to democratic processes against terrorism and violence, and we must take a clear stance against external interventions. In this context, it is time to announce a convincing action plan for the public." he said.

CALL TO PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN

Stating that "Now is the battlefield, everyone is waiting for a statement that will satisfy the public," Davutoğlu said: "The announcement of disarmament must be made without any conditions or delays. A comprehensive and scheduled plan must be implemented for the liquidation of structures abroad. During this process, there must be no compromise on public order. The issues of our Kurdish citizens must be discussed openly and candidly on a democratic platform. A comprehensive democratization package needs to be announced. While the guns are silenced, the law will be established. An inter-party commission should be formed in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to follow up on this process. Mr. Özgür Özel said it, and I agree. Here, I call on the President, everyone has spoken, but the authority to speak on behalf of the state is the President. The success belongs to him, and he will bear the consequences of any possible failure. He should come out and clearly state his position. The government must say, 'A new era is beginning. We will solve the problems of our Kurdish citizens, we will initiate a new democratic era in Turkey, and we will cut off the hands and arms reaching out to this region.' Do not allow the Kurds in Syria to be portrayed or reflected as a threat."
