Three service vehicles and one water tanker were involved in a chain accident on the Istanbul E-5 Highway. 13 injured people were taken to the hospital by ambulances. Traffic congestion occurred on the E-5 Highway towards Edirne after the accident. COLLIDED WITH THE VEHICLE OF THE DRIVER HE ARGUED WITHThe accident occurred around 06:45 at the Göl area of Küçükçekmece E-5 Highway in the direction of Edirne. Allegedly, the driver of a service minibus and Ömer Suiçmez, who was the driver of another service minibus, started arguing in traffic. Suiçmez hit the service minibus with license plate number 34 LUN 036 without stopping. CHAIN ACCIDENT OCCURRED AFTER THE COLLISIONAs a result of the collision, another service vehicle and a water tanker behind it went out of control and caused a chain accident. 13 people in the service minibuses were injured in the chain accident. 13 INJURED PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITALSUpon notification, the police, fire brigade, and medical team were dispatched to the scene. The medical teams that arrived at the scene provided initial treatment to the 13 injured people. After the initial treatment, the injured were taken to the hospital by ambulances. TRAFFIC CONGESTION OCCURRED WHEN TRAFFIC FLOW WAS REDUCED TO ONE LANEDue to the accident, two lanes were closed to traffic in the direction of Edirne. While traffic flow was provided from one lane by the police, long vehicle queues formed on the E-5 Highway towards Edirne.
