The grave of 29-year-old Italian model Pamela Genini, who was killed by her ex-boyfriend three years ago, was opened by unknown individuals. While the famous model's head was stolen, the scandal emerged during the transfer of the young woman's body from the temporary grave to the family cemetery.

The grave of 29-year-old model Pamela Genini, who was brutally murdered by her ex-boyfriend in Italy last year, was opened by unidentified individuals. In a shocking incident, it was determined that the perpetrators had decapitated the young model and stolen her head.

REVEALED DURING THE TRANSFER

The horrific event took place at Strozza Cemetery in the province of Bergamo. On March 23, 2026, during the transfer of Genini's remains from the temporary grave to the family cemetery, officials noticed that the coffin had been tampered with. Upon investigation, it was found that the screws of the coffin had been removed, the head of the corpse had been cut off and taken, and the coffin had been resealed with silicone to avoid leaving traces.

THOUGHT TO BE 3-4 PEOPLE

In the investigation initiated by the Bergamo Prosecutor's Office, it is emphasized that the act was carried out by at least 3 or 4 people due to the heavy concrete lid being lifted and the procedures being conducted in secrecy. It was learned that the perpetrators attempted to restore the grave to its original state to avoid detection, but they were caught due to a loose screw and misalignment.

Pamela Genini was stabbed to death in October 2025 in her apartment in Milan by her 52-year-old ex-boyfriend Gianluca Soncin, who had been stalking her for months. While the suspect Soncin is still awaiting trial in prison, gendarmerie teams have begun examining the security cameras at the cemetery and the threats previously received by the family.

UP TO 7 YEARS IN PRISON REQUESTED

Italian authorities are deepening the investigation with a request for up to 7 years in prison for the crimes of "desecration of a corpse and theft." Genini's family is in shock from this latest incident, while calls are rising in the country for increased cemetery security.
