Central Bank: In November, household inflation expectations declined.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey announced that the annual inflation expectations for November 2024 have decreased. The expectations fell to 27.2% for market participants, 47.8% for the real sector, and 64.1% for households.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), according to the sectoral inflation expectations data for November, the annual inflation expectations for 12 months ahead in November 2024 decreased by 0.2 points to 27.2% for market participants, decreased by 1.7 points to 47.8% for the real sector, and decreased by 3.1 points to 64.1% for households.

INFLATION EXPECTATION HAS DECREASED

CBRT announced the sectoral inflation expectations data for November. Accordingly, the annual inflation expectations for 12 months ahead in November 2024 decreased by 0.2 points to 27.2% for market participants, decreased by 1.7 points to 47.8% for the real sector, and decreased by 3.1 points to 64.1% for households.

The proportion of households expecting inflation to decrease in the next 12 months decreased by 2.0 points compared to the previous month, reaching 26.3%.
