The discussions on the 2025 budget of the Ministry of National Defense began in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) with a protest by CHP deputies regarding the 'lieutenants'. CHP deputies came to the General Assembly hall with banners featuring the photos of the lieutenants who were referred to the disciplinary board for their oaths taken after the graduation ceremony of the Military Academy, along with the text of their oaths.

Today in the General Assembly, the budgets of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the year 2025 are being discussed. Before the discussions, CHP deputies sent their regards to the lieutenants who were referred to the disciplinary board for their oaths taken after the Military Academy graduation ceremony. The deputies arrived at the General Assembly with banners featuring the photos of the lieutenants and the text of the oath that led to their referral to the disciplinary board.
