The reappointment of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu as chairman in the CHP has escalated internal party disputes. CHP Ankara Deputy Adnan Beker, in his statement, supported Özgür Özel and signaled that he would resign if Kılıçdaroğlu becomes chairman. Beker said, "I will have no business with a party where Kılıçdaroğlu is chairman."
The Ankara 36th Regional Court of Appeals' decision of "absolute nullity" annulled the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023.
With the decision, the authorities of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and the current party administration were removed, and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was reinstated as the chairman.
ATTENTION TURNS TO CHP HEADQUARTERS
After the decision was notified to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu by officials from the Ankara 3rd General Enforcement Office, attention turned to the CHP's headquarters in Balgat.
It was alleged that Kılıçdaroğlu filed an application for the evacuation of the building, which Özgür Özel and CHP members have not vacated since Thursday evening.
"I WON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH A PARTY LED BY KILIÇDAROĞLU"
CHP Ankara Deputy Adnan Beker stated in his remarks to journalist Fatih Altaylı that he would not work with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
Beker, who joined the CHP in early 2025, said he came to the party for Özgür Özel and at his invitation.
According to Altaylı's report, Adnan Beker said the following:
"I was invited to this party by Mr. Özgür. I came at his invitation. If Özgür Özel is here, I am here; if Özgür Özel is not, I am not. I won't have anything to do with a party where Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is the chairman.
"IF ÖZEL RESIGNS, I WILL TOO"
I am not leaving the CHP for now. I will not leave as long as Özgür Özel is here. Whatever he does, I will do the same. I know his patriotism. I will not leave him alone. Wherever he goes, I go. If he leaves, I leave; if he resigns, I resign. But I will not stand by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. If I see that Mr. Özgür cannot return, I will leave and continue on my way as an independent."
