New and grave details have emerged in the investigation into the death of famous actor Serhat Kılıç, who was found dead in his home in Istanbul's Kağıthane district. While narcotics were found in the 51-year-old actor's home, the cause of death was recorded as a 'suspicious death' by the judicial authorities.
SHE OPENED THE DOOR WITH A KEY AND FOUND HIM MOTIONLESS IN THE LIVING ROOM
Özlem E., the 50-year-old girlfriend who had not heard from Kılıç for a while, suspected something was wrong and went to the residence where the famous actor lived. Unable to get a response despite ringing the bell, Özlem E. entered using the spare key she had. Upon Özlem E.'s report of finding Kılıç motionless, sitting in an armchair in the living room, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Health workers arriving at the home determined that Kılıç had died.
NARCOTICS SEIZED AT HOME
Crucial findings were uncovered during detailed searches carried out by crime scene investigation teams at the residence. While the initial physical examinations revealed no signs of assault, cuts, or wounds on the actor's body, narcotics were seized in the home.
RECORDED AS 'SUSPICIOUS DEATH'
Due to the substances found at home and the manner of death, law enforcement classified the case as a 'suspicious death'. While crime scene investigation teams continued their work at the residence, Kılıç's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The Public Order Branch Directorate's extensive investigation into the incident is ongoing.
