Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who implied that the two official vehicles used by Özgür Özel were purchased with the illicit money of Özkan Yalım and Aziz İhsan Aktaş and put them up for sale, received a cold shower from the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life. The Association for Supporting Contemporary Life stated that they learned the proceeds from the vehicle sale would be donated to their association, and declared: 'It is not possible for us to accept any donation from an administration that was brought to the helm of the main opposition party through a de facto intervention akin to a trusteeship.'
The Association for Supporting Contemporary Life (ÇYDD) showed an unexpected reaction to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who put Özgür Özel's official vehicles up for sale with the implication that they were purchased with Özkan Yalım and Aziz İhsan Aktaş's "ill-gotten money."
CONTEMPORARY LIFE SHUTS THE DOOR ON KILIÇDAROĞLU
The ÇYDD administration, upon hearing that the proceeds from the sale would be donated to them, issued a harsh statement rejecting this money. The association stated, "It is out of the question for us to accept any donation from a team that came to power through what is essentially a trusteeship intervention in the main opposition party administration."
"WE HEARD THE PROCEEDS FROM THE SALES WOULD BE DONATED TO OUR ASSOCIATION"
The statement included the following expressions: "According to news reflected in the press, it has been learned that it is planned to donate to our association the income from certain sales, which are stated to be carried out by the Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu administration, brought to the management of the Republican People's Party through a legally highly controversial interim injunction and accepted this duty despite widespread public reactions.
Since its establishment, our association is a civil society organization that defends the rule of law, democracy, and the constitutional state in line with Atatürk's principles and revolutions, fights for the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, and continues its work above party politics.
"IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR US TO ACCEPT A DONATION FROM A TRUSTEE ADMINISTRATION"
In accordance with these principles, which we have steadfastly defended for 37 years, it is not possible for our association to accept any donation from an administration brought to the management of political parties, especially the main opposition party, through a trusteeship-like intervention outside of normal democratic processes and congress will. Respectfully announced to the public."
