Confession from the police chief that will change the course of the case: We arrested Tolgahan Demirbaş at Olcay Kılavuz's house.

The confession of Kerem Gökay Öner, the former Deputy Director of the Security Branch who was involved in the investigation, marked the 4th session of the murder trial of Sinan Ateş, the former General President of the Idealist Hearths, who was shot dead in the heart of Ankara on December 30, 2022.

"THE RECORD STATING THAT HE WAS ARRESTED ON THE STREET IS FAKE"

Kerem Gökay Öner, who was involved in the investigation of Sinan Ateş, filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office. Öner stated, "We arrested Tolgahan Demirbaş at the house of Olcay Kılavuz, the former MHP Mersin Deputy. The arrest record stating that Demirbaş was arrested on the street is fake."

"PREPARED BY POLICE OFFICERS WHO WERE NOT PRESENT AT THE SCENE"

In his petition, Öner revealed that the police record describing Tolgahan Demirbaş's arrest on the street was prepared by police officers who were not present at the scene. Additionally, Öner requested that the statements of the police officers who arrested Demirbaş be taken as witnesses.

"WE REQUEST HIS TESTIMONY AS A WITNESS"

Lawyer Süleyman Kavak brought up Öner's criminal complaint and stated, "We request that the aforementioned Deputy Director of the Security Branch be heard as a witness in the case."
