According to a statement from the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, an "Embraer 190" passenger plane belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines, operating the Baku-Grozny route, crashed near the city of Aktau. The plane caught fire after the crash. A total of 52 personnel and 11 vehicles from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan were dispatched to the scene. In a statement from Azerbaijan Airlines, it was noted that there were 62 passengers and 5 crew members on board the plane. A striking claim has emerged regarding the accident, in which 35 people died and 32 were rescued.
