Turkey mourns Narin, whose lifeless body was found 19 days after she went missing. The Narin murder, which caused outrage in almost every segment of society, also drew a reaction from famous actor Nejat İşler. CONFESSING SUSPECT NEVZAT BAHTİYAR ARRESTED AFTER UNCLE ÖZ AMCAThe investigation into the Narin Güran murder, whose lifeless body was found 19 days after she went missing in Diyarbakır Bağlar, continues in all its aspects. Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to burying the little girl's lifeless body in Eğertutmaz Stream and said that her jailed uncle Salim Güran offered him 200,000 TL in return, was sent to the courthouse after the procedures. Nevzat Bahtiyar (48) was arrested on charges of "participating in the intentional killing of a child" at the 1st Duty Criminal Court of Peace after the procedures at the gendarmerie. FAMILY MEMBERS DETAINEDAfter Bahtiyar's statement, the gendarmerie teams detained all family members, considering the possibility that Narin might have been a victim of a family murder. Narin's father was later released. NARIN MURDER MADE EVERYTHING FORGOTTENThe Narin murder, which has become almost Turkey's number one agenda and has drawn reactions from all segments of society, does not go unnoticed by famous figures. Famous actor Nejat İşler, in a statement to the press, said, "We cannot protect our children. We are also to blame. We have stopped being a nation and decided to become a tribal state, it seems. In that case, tribal rules apply." In his statement, İşler said: "WE HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A TRIBAL STATE"I left home today because of this, I'm tired. We cannot protect our children. We are also to blame. Big words can be said. We have stopped being a nation and decided to become a tribal state, it seems. In that case, tribal rules apply. There were a million stories before this. There will be more if things continue like this. We will remember to be a nation. Nothing else. Not tribes, sects, communities, and so on. We will remember to be a nation. Mustafa Kemal put forward the formula. It's very simple. I don't understand what we are resisting. We are at the end of the line. We couldn't protect, brother. We couldn't protect the ones before, we couldn't protect that one either. It's really our fault. WHAT HAPPENED?On August 21, when Narin Güran went to a Quran course in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district, she did not return home, so her family searched for her on their own. When no results were obtained from the search, Narin's father, Arif Güran, reported her missing on the same day around 20:00. As a result, numerous search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and searches were conducted in houses in the neighborhood and vehicles entering the village. While the search was ongoing, E.G. (18), Narin's brother, was detained due to bite marks on his arm. Since it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin in the examination at the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, E.G. was released. Then Narin's uncle, who is also the muhtar (village head) of rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, Salim Güran, was detained. Salim Güran, whose DNA samples taken from his vehicle matched the DNA samples on Narin's clothes, was arrested on charges of "intentional killing" and "deprivation of liberty". As the teams focused on the previously searched areas again, they conducted a search in Eğertutmaz Stream, 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood, and found Narin's lifeless body on the 19th day. It was determined that Narin was thrown into the stream with a sack after being killed and covered with stones.
