The Hospital Coordination Boards to be established in secondary and tertiary healthcare institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health will ensure the regular, effective, and efficient execution of healthcare services and will conduct inspections regarding patient and employee rights.

AT LEAST 3, AT MOST 7 MEMBERS

The "Regulation on Hospital Coordination Boards" prepared by the Ministry of Health has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into force.

Accordingly, in secondary healthcare facilities, including district hospitals, and tertiary healthcare facilities, including city hospitals, Hospital Coordination Boards will be established with personnel from different titles and branches to ensure the regular, effective, and efficient execution of healthcare services.

The board, consisting of at least 3 and at most 7 members, will convene in the first week of each month with a majority of members to consult on all areas of service delivery and make executive decisions.

THE BOARD WILL BE AUTHORIZED IN HEALTH SERVICES

The board will be authorized in the execution of healthcare services within the framework of the "hospital development plan" to be prepared according to the role, size, and capacity of each healthcare facility, in accordance with the Ministry's policies and objectives, by conducting inspections regarding patient and employee rights, evaluating requests, and ensuring necessary procedures and regulations are implemented.

The board will be able to carry out transactions with a majority of members regarding the follow-up of the contractual obligations of academic staff working in hospitals and the fulfillment of the obligations specified in the contract, as well as warning procedures within the scope of contractual obligations.

The follow-up of the transactions carried out by the Hospital Coordination Boards, ensuring that they are conducted in accordance with current health policies, will be carried out through an information system called the "Hospital Coordination Board Management System," which will also include monitoring, reporting, and auditing.
