The green-blacks claimed that it was determined that Ergil presented a donation made to the club by a businessman as his personal receivable. On the club's social media pages, it was stated, "It has been determined that Erhan Ergil, the former temporary president of Denizlispor Sports Club, presented a donation made to the club by a businessman as his personal receivable."
The statement included, "As a result of the board of directors' investigation, it has been revealed that after this incident, where the donation received was written as a receivable for himself, a criminal complaint has been filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the audit of the said donation and all bank account transactions. The illegalities and irregularities committed against Denizlispor Sports Club will be uncovered one by one, and legal action will be initiated. There will be more to come. We present this to the public's attention," it was stated. Erhan Ergil, who denied the allegation, claimed that the current management was slandering him to change the agenda. Ergil had come to the fore during his presidency with his hunger strike and the polemics he had with the team captain Gökhan Süzen and other players.
