The high school preference process within the scope of LGS will end today at 17:00. Candidates can submit their preferences through the e-Okul system for central exam scores, local placement, and boarding schools. In this process, where approximately 199 thousand students will be placed via the central exam, results and vacant quotas will be announced on August 5, followed by the transfer schedule.
The preference process for the Transition to High School System (LGS), conducted by the Ministry of National Education, ends today. Students are required to upload their preference lists to the e-Okul system by 5:00 PM.
Candidates can make their preferences in three groups: "schools admitting students by central exam score," "schools admitting students by local placement," and "boarding schools."
198,899 STUDENTS WILL BE PLACED
A total of 198,899 students will be placed in schools admitting students by central exam score this year. Of the quotas, 60,886 are allocated to Anatolian high schools, 38,700 to science high schools, 9,210 to social sciences high schools, 43,706 to Anatolian imam hatip high schools, and 46,397 to vocational and technical Anatolian high schools.
Placements will be made according to students' preferences based on their central exam score superiority.
WHICH CRITERIA APPLY IN CASE OF SCORE EQUALITY?
In case of equal central exam scores, the following will be considered in order: School Achievement Score (OBP), End-of-Year Achievement Scores (YBP) for grades 8, 7, and 6, the number of unexcused absences in grade 8, preference priority, and finally, the younger student.
Students can access schools' quota information and last year's percentile rankings through the e-Okul system and the "Rota Maarif" platform.
RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON AUGUST 5
Placement results and vacant quotas will be announced on August 5 at "meb.gov.tr." First transfer applications will start on the same day.
First transfer preferences will be taken on August 5-7, and results will be announced on August 10. Second transfer applications will be made between August 10-12, with results announced on August 14.
For students who cannot be placed in any school, applications to provincial and district student placement and transfer commissions will be taken between August 17-26. The commissions will complete placement procedures on August 28. Boarding applications will be made between August 31 and September 3, with results announced on September 4.
