Turkey has been wondering for months about who killed 8-year-old Narin Güran. Although the investigation is narrowing down day by day, the person who killed Narin has not yet been identified. A response from the Gendarmerie to the court regarding the images of the military base area, which father Arif Güran and the lawyers insistently focused on, has been received.
RESPONSE FROM THE GENDARMERIE TO THE COURT
At the end of the first hearing, the court wrote to the gendarmerie for the recordings of the camera located in the Daran-2 Military Base Area, referred to as Şahingöz, at the request of the family. The report prepared by the technical personnel of the gendarmerie was sent to the court. According to the news on NTV, the report stated that "the Keskingöz system present in the Daran-2 base area does not have video recording capabilities and that the device is not connected to any recording device, and that only real-time images can be viewed with the thermal camera in question."
FATHER AND LAWYERS WERE FOCUSED ON THIS EVIDENCE
The images from the military base area were among the evidence that father Arif Güran and the lawyers insisted on during the hearing. The lawyers claimed that they detected inconsistencies between the HTS records and the security camera footage.
It would be examined whether the camera footage showed whether Narin went towards the house of the suspect Nevzat Bahtiyar, located on the path, and whether a red and white car was detected in the area would be thoroughly investigated. It would also be determined whether suspect Bahtiyar went to Arif Güran's house. However, in the gendarmerie's response to the court, it was stated that "the camera does not record, it only sends real-time images to the center."
