Critical Syria message from an AKP official: We will continue to support the Kurds and Turkmen.

In the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the budgets of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for the year 2025 are being discussed.

Speaking during the budget discussions, AK Party Antalya Deputy Kemal Çelik drew attention to the events in Syria following the fall of the Assad regime and made statements.

"KURDS AND TURKMEN ARE OUR RELATIVES"

Çelik stated, "Unfortunately, the Arab Spring could not be the spring of the Arabs; it became a game of the imperialists." He added, "PKK terrorism is not the reality of our Kurdish people; it is a dirty game of the imperialist West. For this reason, the time has come to definitively remove foreign-backed terrorism from our country's agenda. What our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Mr. Devlet Bahçeli have said is exactly this. Today, there is a strong political will in our country, a political will that can implement its projects and achieve results, as seen in Syria. What we want to do is to eliminate terrorism, to eradicate evil, and to reach high goals that will certify our unity. We have much more work to do in Syria. The Kurds and Turkmen living in Syria are our relatives. The country that supports them is not America, not Israel, not England, not France, not Russia; it is only Turkey; this was the case yesterday, and it will be the case tomorrow," he stated.

"IT IS TIME FOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS TO DISBAND THEMSELVES"

Çelik also said, "Turkey will continue to support its Kurdish and Turkmen relatives in Syria, who do not seek help from terrorist organizations and their imperialist sponsors. As Mr. Bahçeli has also expressed, it is time for terrorist organizations to disband themselves and lay down their arms. With the establishment of peace and security in our country and region, we will continue to write new success stories. The active participation of all our parties in the Turkish Grand National Assembly in this success story, which will change the course of history, will be our greatest strength," he said.
